The recent warm weather encouraged many of us to into summer clothes and perhaps some of you, like me, decided it was time to do something about the extra winter layer. It’s all nicely hidden under a thick jumper and coat but there’s nowhere to hide in a vest!
To lose weight it’s important to eat better. Freshly prepared food, plenty of vegetables and fruit with a good source of protein and cut down on the sugary snacks and booze! Exercise has a role to play not just because it helps burn calories but also because it generally makes you feel better.
The best exercise is the one that you stick to and do regularly!
SE Fitness Couch to 5K starts next week and this is the best time of year to join. The longer days mean all groups are in Sutton Park NNR which is a treat for both body and soul.
The most efficient exercise for losing weight is interval training such as Speedwork. Short bursts of high intensity exercise encourage the body to burn fat as fuel and can kick start your metabolism into a high gear so you are burning more calories even after the session has finished!
