RunFest Rhyl – SE Fitness off to the seaside!

Pack your Bucket and Spades SE Fitness we’re off to the seaside!

Runners Summer Coach Trip

Run Fest Wales

Saturday 24th June

What’s the event?

We are ditching the mud run this year in favour of a day out by the seaside and the chance to take part in RunFest Wales.

A festival of Personal Bests – I’m hoping that it’s flat!

You can choose to enter:

  • Half marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K

Check out all the details online:

All routes are out and back along the seafront starting on the promenade at Rhyl.  Sounds like they should be flat but I’ve never run them so not promising!

06:10 Coach pickup Wyndley
06:20 Coach pickup Mere Green
09:00 approx Arrive seafront Rhyl

The coach has a TOILET!  Also a drinks machine.

We will only run the trip with a minimum of 20 people so don’t enter the race until we know we have enough.

Coach costs will be divided by number coming but as a guide:

20 people coach cost – £25 each, 30 people coach cost – £17 each

When we know how many are coming I’ll confirm cost of coach (payable by end May) and ask you to register for the race.

Race Costs

If we get the numbers runners will register themselves individually for the race.

  • 5k race £16
  • 10k race £22
  • Half Marathon £32

Lunch Costs

Les and Rita’s is reputedly the freshest and best fish n chips in Rhyl and they will turn a blind eye if we sneak in our own drink!

Meal deal – £5.10 for fish, chips, mushy peas and a cuppa tea!  Payable on day.

If you don’t want to eat at Les and Rita’s (can’t imagine why not) then feel free to bring your own picnic.

Other Info

  • This will be a Grand Prix event. 2 points for taking part in any race (no time points) plus usual seasons best / furthest points.
  • No showers so we’ll have to rough it or perhaps bring your towel and cossie and take a refreshing dip in the sea!
  • We will be racing under the terms and conditions of the race organisers so please check before entering.

I’m up for it what do I do now?

At this stage we just need to know we have enough interest so get your name down!

Write it on the list on the noticeboard or email me by Friday 17 March.
