SUMMER ROAD TRIP

SE FITNESS SNOWDON CHALLENGE!

This year we thought we would try something a little bit different so for our annual road trip we are planning an expedition to climb Snowdon.

At 3,560 feet Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales.  The route we are planning to use is the Rhyd Ddu Track which is more remote than the Llanberis path and hopefully offers a fresh challenge even if you have been to Snowdon summit before.

WHO IS THIS TRIP SUITABLE FOR?

The hike to the top and back will take around 6.5 hours with breaks.  You don’t need to be super fit as the Guide will go at a gentle but steady pace.  Be prepared for rough mountain tracks, steep in places so you will need a good level of general fitness to get the most out of it.  SE Fitness Walkers and Runners welcome.  One Guide per group of 12.

WHEN IS IT?

Saturday 30th June

06:00 Coach pickup Wyndley
09:30 Arrive Rhyd Ddu car park for briefing and set off.
Around 4pm Finish walk – snacks and celebratory Prosecco around the bus!
Approximately 6pm until 8pm Stop for dinner at White Waters Hotel, Llangollen
Around 10pm Arrive back at Wyndley.

How much is it?

  • Mountain guide £35 per person.
  • Coach approx £20 pp t.b.c once we know numbers.
  • Dinner and drinks in the pub!
  • £20 deposit payable now and balance nearer the time

What do I need?

Correct footwear such as sturdy walking shoes or walking boots (trainers not really suitable).  Waterproofs.  Small backpack for your picnic / snacks / drinks.

Put your name down and pay your £20 deposit by Friday 23rd March!  Normal SE Fitness account.  Please note deposits on non refundable.

Please note we need minimum of 12 to make the trip viable and so if we have less than that I will not book the trip and in that instance deposits will be refunded.
