I thought it was time to have a look at who’s holding the top spots in the Grand Prix as we head into 2019.
Lots of you did Sutton Park parkrun in November but unless you share your time with me I can’t work out your points. This is a shame because for those of you graduating from Couch to 5K you get 5 extra points for it being your furthest run!
The way things stand Rosie Thompson has taken an early lead with Adam Page and Ariadne ‘H’ Symes hot on her heels. Last year’s winners Andy and Malcom are in the running but so is Peter Van Arkadie who making a serious bid for victory this year. John McConnell is ahead of me and has made it into double figures which is good for him!
Our next event is Fradley 10K on 10th March. This is a relatively flat course on tarmac and a great place to get your Personal Best. It would also make a great first 10K if you are on our 5 to 10K programme. We’ve got friends staying over the night before so I’m not sure we are going to do too well this year!
If you’re new to SE Fitness and want more information about our Grand Prix then check out the rules on the website. Anyone can take part and there are extra points available for first timers and improvers so everyone has a chance.
