I’ve been thinking about events for SE Fitness this summer and following the success of our Snowdon Summit challenge I’ve been considering possibilities for another Big Walk! If you have other suggestions please message me or comment below!
First possibility is TrekFest Brecon. https://www.trekfest.org.uk/
One of our leaders has already signed up and I must say it looks pretty amazing. You get the choice of a 25K or 50K hike (I would not even consider going further than 25K)! It’s on 7th July in the Brecon Beacons. We could coach it down as usual or, if you fancied, camping for two nights in the event village is included in the cost. There’s an inflatable pub and a free meal for afterwards!
As a second option I wondered whether having conquered Snowdon you would like to have a go at Scafell Pike – the highest peak in England? I’m sure we could book mountain guides again to lead the ascent. The most straightforward route up Scafell Pike is from the Western side of the Lake District so it would probably be best to venture up on the Friday night and stay over rather than taking the coach on Saturday morning.
Let me know if you think you would be interested in either of these trips (or indeed suggest an alternative you fancy) and I’ll get to work on the organising!
