If you are running longer distances or planning to then it is worth thinking about carrying fluid with you. This year sorry but we are unable to provide water stops for our half marathon training. There are a number of events where it is a race requirement that you carry fluid (and fuel) and, in any case, it can is good practice especially over longer distances or on hot days.
On normal SE runs it shouldn’t be necessary to carry fluid but it is important to look after yourself generally and make sure you drink enough. As a rule of thumb if you feel thirsty during the run eg under one hour then you are dehydrated and need to drink more before you come.
I would encourage those runners joining us for half marathon training to think about having a drink with them and the cheapest way to do that is to buy a hand held water bottle. You can get these cheaply in local stores or online.
If you want to spend more, perhaps you are thinking of marathon training, then amongst SE fitness, the preferred method appears to be to wear one of the very slim fitting FlipBelts (this is the brand name cheaper options are available). You can by squishy water bottles that slide into the belt and sit snugly on your waist.
