When we do hill sessions we tend to attack the hills on the way up. This is great for this type of session but not so good during a run.
In the middle of a run settle into a comfortable pace which may be slower. Use your breath to maintain a steady rhythm. You’ll get the top having wasted less energy and avoid filling your legs with lactic acid from over exertion.
It requires confidence in your ability but if you can master this then hills will become less daunting and won’t kill your whole run. You’ll always have something left to carry you over the top and onwards!
