SE Fitness Summer Outing
Sunday 14th June
Join us for our midsummer coach trip to NT Cheddar Gorge – for the Cheddar Gorge Challenge!
|· The gorge festival is hosted by the National Trust with lots of entertainment all about enjoying time outdoors. Includes food and drinks and live music.|
|· The actual run organiser is Relish Running. He is an ex GB triathlete who wants to create great days out for the whole family. Beginner friendly events in beautiful and unique locations.|
|· Choice of distance 6K, 10Km, half marathon or full marathon. Check out the videos. This is a proper trail run and, as such, very beautiful scenery but also a tough challenge!|
|· I see no reason why walkers should not come and join in too. This is fabulous walking country.|
|· All finishers get a cheeky Cheddar Devil medal.|
|· You can also come and spectate (or bring spectators) but they will need to buy a spectator ticket.|
|· 100 ‘runners’ set off in 10 minute intervals|
|· So that we are all setting off together in each event eg all half marathon together / all 10K together / etc. I have created a group for SE Fitness: Use Reference Cheddar 3, Captain Helyn McConnell.|
|· If you register within the group you get a discount of 15%.|
|· Registration for the run also includes entry to the Top of the Gorge Festival for afters!|
|· The journey will take around 3 hours so it will be an early start aiming to leave Wyndley around 06:30.|
|· After the event we will hang around for a few hours. Bring a picnic but there is also food and drink available to buy and a range of entertainment.|
|· I guess we will want to make the most of our midsummer day out but, bearing in mind this is a Sunday I assume people won’t want to be too late back. Aim to leave around 4pm so back to Wyndley by 7pm.
· Bring plenty of snacks for on the coach on the way back!

1 Register for the Event
Go the website and watch the video. Choose your event. The course is steep and challenging so you might want shorter distance.
We are running on Sunday 14th June.
Register as part of Team SE Fitness. Use reference ‘Cheddar 3’ to qualify for 15% discount. Team Captain: Helyn McConnell.
I selected Wave 1 for the 10K.
2 Book your place on the minibus
If you want to travel with SE Fitness in the minibus then put your name on the list on the noticeboard or get in touch via email firstname.lastname@example.org or message 07788 628755. Only 16 places on the minibus first come first served. I can book a second if numbers go over.
Estimated cost of minibus £35 per person. You may also choose to travel down separately or even camp for the weekend with your family. Please let me know if you’re running but travelling separately!
