Great Birmingham Run Training










The Great Birmingham Run takes place on Sunday 18th October and SE Fitness are leading a six-week training programme in the run up to the event.

Training starts Saturday 29th August at 7 miles.  Register from 8.45am for 9.00am start.

To help you get to this distance we will be doing 50 to 55 minute runs on the preceding weeks:

14th and 15th August

21st and 22nd August

Below you will find 1 mile map for anyone wishing to add on extra.  Please ensure that your leader knows what you are doing.  Alternatively you could do an extra 4 laps of the track.


2014 one mile loop (add on)


Saturday 29th August          7 miles

Saturday 5th September      8 miles

Saturday 12th September   9 miles

Saturday 19th September   10.5 miles

Saturday 26th September   11.5 miles

Saturday 3rd October          12.5 miles

Saturday 10th October         Taper week.  Run with normal groups.



For those using Go Monthly it’s £1 extra per week or £5 up front for the course.

If this is an additional session to your Go Monthly it is £4 per session.

Non members it’s £5 per week or £25 if you pay up front for the course.
