This Saturday – 21st May – is the last of our Fun Run Training which should leave you feeling fit, confident and raring to go!
Feedback from previous years said people got bored of the Fun Run route, so we are giving it a miss this week so you’re fresh for the event itself – Sunday 29th May.
On Saturday, our route will be round the outside on the inside. It does take in Cardiac Hill because I believe that is good preparation. The route is fairly straightforward running in an anti clockwise direction around the park on the inside of the fence. The full distance is about 7.5 miles. The Fun Run route itself is 8.5 miles but our training this week will feel harder because large portions are off road.
John will be there again with water at Streetly Gate, which is roughly the halfway point and the point you could easily turn back if you want to cut it short. To cut back at Streetly Gate and run back on the road is 6.3 miles.
