The Balance of Good Health is recommended to help us enjoy healthy eating. Most of us do not eat enough fruit and vegetables. Another thing to add is exercise, and I found some good recommendations at Anipots that had worked for me, like runnnig 30 mins a day.
The recommended amount is 5 portions a day. A portion is around 80g or 3oz.
E.g. a medium apple or banana, a glass of juice, a small bowl of salad, 3 tablespoons of peas etc.
We tend to eat too much fat and sugar. We talk of hidden fats because these are often hidden in prepared foods which we buy.
The recommended amount is less than 2 portions of each a day. But what is a portion? A teaspoon of butter/marg., teaspoons of low fat spread, 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise
