Raiding the archives for old half marathon photos and came across a few familiar faces in this one from Birmingham 2012!
This Saturday 17th September is a ‘drop down’ week for our half marathon training. We will be meeting at Wyndley at 8:30 as normal for a straightforward 10k run out to Streetly Gate and Back.
We have these ‘easier’ weeks every third week when we are training for a longer events. It helps to avoid injury because the running load does not simply escalate from one week to the next. It means everyone gets some recovery time during the training schedule. It also means that if you’ve missed a long run, you can use this week to catch up by adding some miles onto the planned 10K.
