Week 4 of Half Marathon Training and a tough route 10.5 miles. Remember these training runs are designed to prepare you for the race so the course is hard but just keep to a very steady, conversational pace. Sign in from 8.45 for a 9.00am start. Slower runners I’ll be there from 8.30 so if you want to get a head start meet me to discuss the route and sign in and get started. It’s much easier than running at the back for the whole way!
Different route this week. We start with a small loop into the park and out again for your first mile. Then all the way along Monmouth Drive to Banners Gate where we re enter the park and run the reverse route of week 1 around the Jamboree Memorial. Leave the park at Town Gate and here start a very hilly figure of 8 along Anchorage and Lichfield Road. The good news is that we finish with a long DOWNHILL from Hartopp Gate all the way back to Wyndley! See you there runners!
