With extremely high temperatures forecast for next week I have suggested that the Leaders decide what is best for their groups and for them.
Depending on the group this may mean rearranging the time – Graham Mills has offered to lead Monday’s fast group on Wednesday evening instead and Monday night walkers are meeting at 07:00am. Alternatively, Leaders may opt for a shorter route in the shade, slow it right down, offer a walk instead of a run or cancel the group altogether.

- Stay hydrated – before exercise and after (not just during)
- Wear loose, very lightweight clothing. Cap, suntan lotion and bug spray.
- Keep to the shade.
- Take it easy – slow it right down.
Sutton Park shimmering in the heat haze of summer is a rare and beautiful sight. Whether it’s the golden grasses, the dappled light in the woods or sunlight glittering on the lakes. Slow down, keep cool and enjoy it!
