We recognise that during lockdown not everyone will have felt able to run or walk regularly and this may cause some anxiety about returning to SE Fitness groups.
To support you we plan to merge C25K and 5K plus groups for a while (two to three weeks at least). We will not be starting a new C25K programme immediately.
Merging the groups means that all sessions will have at least two leaders – three or even four leaders at other times.
Our plan is to use routes where we can go out and back the same way thus enabling us to run to time rather than distance.
We hope this will enable anyone who has managed to keep going in any capacity to return and safely find your level without too much anxiety. Remember we are all in the same boat to one degree or another!
For those who haven’t run at all during lockdown we will start C25K once we have everyone settled and hope you will join us then!
Meantime we would really recommend making the most of the lighter evenings and getting out for a brisk walk two or three times a week. This time on your feet is invaluable for your overall fitness and good for your mental health too.
