John and I read with interest this weekend about a study that shows exercise can boost your libido! Research showed that more folks exercised (to a fairly vigorous level) the better their sexual functioning. Running had the best results – and the faster you run, the better!
Experts said they were not surprised by the findings as it confirmed previous studies that showed a connection between physical fitness, psychological well being and sexual health. Above all workouts make us feel better about ourselves. “Good sex is a mix of the physical and psychological parts of each of us, and if exercise improves body image then you sex life will also be enhanced,” advised Lorraine Grover a spokesperson for the Sexual Advice Association.
However it is important not to overdo things as you’re not likely to see an improvement in your sex life if you are totally exhausted from all the exercise!
