Fun Run Training Summer 2022

We continued to raise money for THE GAP on our Fun Run training days and raised a further £200.  This brought the total raised to £493.  SE Fitness have since matched the £200 contribution (rounded up by £7) which brings the total we have raised on behalf of the The Gap to £700!

Thank you!

Christmas 2021

We are fundraising for local charity THE GAP because we wanted to help young people in our area, especially during these difficult times.  THE GAP support young people who feel marginalised from society helping them with mental health, education and relationships.  Our Christmas charity events are as follows:

  • Thursday 23 December Walk Plus with Becky 9:30
  • Sunday 26 December Boxing Day for Run plus and Run Fit at 10:00
  • Monday 27 December Bank Holiday for 5K plus at 9:00

If you would like to join us for all or any of these events and feel able to make a charity contribution (instead of paying for your SE Fitness session) then please use link below:

Previous Fundraising

Christmas 2020 raising money for the Domestic Violence charity Refuge with Boxing Day runs and raised £677.

In December 2020 SE Fitness Walking Groups decided to support #TheBigWalk on behalf of Shelter they raised £755.  Brilliant!

For the year 2020 we have decided to support St Basil’s.  St Basils works with young people to enable them to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities and prevent homelessness.  We raised over £1300 for St Basils in 2020.

Our first fundraising event on behalf of St Basils was our ‘Walk to Pub’ 11 Dec 2018.  SE Walkers raised £69.  Thank you!

Over Christmas we held a charity walk on Christmas Eve and a charity run on Boxing Day.  These two events raised £94.50 and £142.

This brings our total for St Basils at the end December 2019 to £305.50.  Thank You!

Thank you to long standing SE Fitness Runner Mike Stanley who donated £25 to our charity for Christmas.  Thanks Mike!

In March 2020 Coronavirus came along but it did not stop our fundraising events altogether!

In May 2020 we ran SE Fitness Virtual Bingo.

This way we raised £200 for St Basils.

Some of us entered St Basils Virtual pilgrimage to Santiago Compestela in Spain.  Three teams entered contributing £180 between us.

Walker Jane Rogers took it one step further, not just one step but 1 million steps and raised £300.

On midsummer’s day we held our Virtual Relays.  Contributions to St Basils added up to £297 plus donations made directly to the charity.

Total raised for St Basils:  £1007.50 plus Jane’s £300  plus direct donations.
