A dry but cool morning as the adventurers convened at Chester Road. Run started with an easy canter past Pype Hayes park joining the canal near Tyburn. Good to see Spring comes early canal side with Hawthorn in blossom. Plenty of interest en route plotting the history of Birmingham as we got closer to the city. A very bad stretch with lots of little bridges and then a row of locks which translates as one long hill when you are on the tow path! Glad to see Sea Life centre come into view then a quick left and our ‘Rocky’ moment as we bounded up the steps onto Broad St for the finish! Breakfast in Wetherspoons as our reward! Congratulations everyone but especially those running the furthest ever today! Well done all!
