We are introducing a tip a week for you to think about. The better your technique then the less energy you will waste which has got to be a good idea! For the next 8 weeks our focus is going to be on the upper body and it starts with good posture.
You should aim to RUN TALL WITH RELAXED SHOULDERS AND HIGH HIPS. Get into the habit of turning on good posture during the warm up. Imagine a cord running the length of your spine, along your neck and through the top of your head. It is attached to a balloon in the sky which will pull you tall throughout your run. As you tire, especially uphill, check your posture – when you start to lose it – that’s when you really need it! Good posture is just as important for our walkers too.
