These groups are a great workout, they are also social and a good way of developing an exercise routine. Walk plus go at a fast pace between 3.5 and 4 miles per hour, you might describe it as Power Walking! If you are not sure you can keep up with that pace then you can try one of our Walk Fitness groups who still get a good workout but the pace is slightly slower between 2 and 3 miles per hour.
Walk plus groups take place on:
- Monday at 9:30 with Tammy
- Monday 18:00 with Debra
- Wednesday at 09:30 with Ruth and Peter
- Thursday 09:30 with Becky
- Saturday 09:00 with Debra
How far will we walk?
The walks are between 3.5 miles and 4 miles. So you need to be able to walk a mile in around 15 minutes. With a warm up and cool down the whole session takes around 1 hour 15 mins.
Where will we walk?
We use the trails in Sutton Park during daylight hours. Evening groups use road routes around the park in Winter. Wear comfortable trainers or walking boots.
