Firstly, a huge welcome to all our new members! We’re so excited to have you join the SE Fitness community. Whether you’re here to run, walk, or just enjoy the support of a friendly, active group—we can’t wait to share the journey with you. As summer approaches it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy our scenic routes in great company.
We love seeing our SE Fitness community grow—not just through fitness, but through friendship. While we try to organise plenty of social activities, it’s been amazing to see so many of you arranging your own outings and even holidays together! We can’t wait to hear all about Capri. It’s a wonderful reminder that SE Fitness is about more than just miles—it’s about connection.
Don’t forget, your membership allows you to mix and match across any of our sessions. Try something new and meet even more people!
⚠️ Safety First
As we head back to trail running in Sutton Park, please take extra care—especially while transitioning from roads to uneven paths. We do tend to see more trips and falls at this time of year. Take a moment to refresh your memory with our Guide to Walking and Running Safely | SE Fitness | Running and Walking for Fitness
Celebrating Your Achievements
The past few weeks have been full of inspiration—from marathon and triathlon finishes to local 10Ks and park runs. Special shout-out to those who completed the Fradley 10K, many of whom were taking part in their first official event after graduating from our Couch to 5K programme. You did yourselves—and us—proud.
Here are just some of the events we have taken part in

Wear those medals with pride!
And a massive good luck to Tasha, who is representing Great Britain at the European Championships in Pamplona on 17th May as an age-group triathlete. You never cease to amaze us and we’re all rooting for you!
We love hearing your stories—please share photos of medals, events, or even you in your SE top while travelling as we kick off this year’s SE on Tour! Drop us a message if you’d like to share your story.

♀️♂️ Run for Home – Sunday 22nd June
Back by popular demand, Run for Home is one of our most unique and exciting events—and it’s open to both runners and walkers!
It’s part adventure, part navigation challenge, and 100% fun. If you’re looking to test your sense of direction, enjoy the outdoors, and bond with teammates, this is for you!
What’s the challenge?
You’ll be dropped off at a secret location somewhere in the local area, and your mission is simple: make your way back to Blackroot Bistro in Sutton Park—without using any electronic navigation aids.
Choose your distance:
- 6 miles (walkers welcome!)
- 10 miles (for a bigger challenge)
️♀️ How it works:
- On arrival at Blackroot Bistro, you’ll hand in all devices (phones, smartwatches, GPS) to be sealed in a tamper-evident bag. You’ll keep the bag with you, but if it’s opened, a 60-minute time penalty is added!
- Blindfolds on! You’ll be bussed to a random drop-off point.
- The challenge begins: You and your team will use landmarks, instinct, and teamwork to find your way back—no shortcuts, no maps, just your feet and your wits!
Team Info:
- Minimum 2, maximum 6 people per team
- You must stay together the whole time
- Suitable for all abilities—it’s not about speed, it’s about the journey!
What do you get?
- A brilliant day out with friends and fellow SE Fitness adventurers
- A well-earned medal at the finish line
- Bragging rights for navigating Sutton Park the old-school way!
- Food and drink available at Blackroot Bistro afterwards

- Date: Sunday 22nd June
